The rules of using Jyotish Guide.
These terms govern your relationship with Jyotish Guide — what we promise, what we ask of you, and how disputes get resolved. Written to be clear, not to trap.
The quick version
- Must be 18 or older to use Jyotish Guide. Baby Kundli is generated by parents on behalf of their child.
- Free 5 minutes with each new astrologer. After that, per-minute rates apply only if you choose to continue.
- Astrology is for guidance, not substitutes for medical, legal, or financial advice. Make informed decisions.
- Disputes resolved within 24 hours through in-app flags. First paid session with any astrologer has full money-back guarantee.
- Indian law applies. Courts in Indore, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction.
Welcome to Jyotish Guide. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“user”, “seeker”, or “you”) and Jyotish Guide Technologies Private Limited (“Jyotish Guide”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Jyotish Guide mobile application, website at jyotishguide.com, and all related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
01. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Jyotish Guide, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. These Terms constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, and do not require physical signatures.
If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
02. Definitions
- “Astrologer” means a verified independent expert who offers consultation services through Jyotish Guide.
- “Seeker” or “User” means any individual using our Services.
- “Session” means any consultation (chat, call, or video) between a seeker and an astrologer.
- “Wallet” means the in-app balance used to pay for per-minute consultations.
- “Puja” means any ritual service (live puja, emergency puja, spiritual protection, havan) booked through the Services.
- “AstroMall” means our e-commerce section offering physical spiritual products.
- “Content” means all text, images, audio, video, Kundli data, predictions, and other material on the Services.
03. Eligibility
To use Jyotish Guide, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872
- Not be prohibited from receiving our Services under applicable law
- Not have been previously banned from our Services
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements. If you are below 18, you must not create an account. Parents generating a Baby Kundli for their child are using the Service as adults on behalf of the child, which is permitted.
04. Account registration
To access most Services, you must create an account by verifying your mobile number via OTP. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep your account credentials confidential
- Not share your account with anyone else
- Notify us immediately at support@jyotishguide.com of any unauthorized access
- Be solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account
We reserve the right to refuse registration, terminate accounts, or reclaim usernames at our discretion, particularly in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
05. Our services
Jyotish Guide provides the following categories of Services:
5.1 Astrologer consultations
Chat, call, and video consultations with verified astrologers specializing in Vedic Jyotish, KP System, Nadi Jyotish, Tarot, Prashn Shastra, Hast Rekha, Vastu, Numerology, and Tantra-Mantra.
5.2 Kundli & matching tools
Birth chart generation using Swiss Ephemeris data with Lahiri Ayanamsha and Whole Sign house system. Includes Kundli Matching (36 Gun Milan), Mangal Dosh and Nadi Dosh analysis, Baby Kundli, and Family Kundli.
5.3 Live puja & ritual services
Video-streamed puja performed by certified pandits on your behalf, including Satyanarayan Katha, Rudrabhishek, Navgraha Shanti, Emergency Pujas, and Spiritual Protection rituals.
5.4 Free tools
Daily Panchang, Daily Rashifal, Vrat Calendar, Shubh Muhurat, Numerology calculator, Dream Interpreter, and Energy Score are provided free of charge.
5.5 AstroMall
Purchase of certified spiritual products including Rudraksha, gemstones, yantras, malas, kavach, and puja kits.
06. Pricing & payment
6.1 Transparent pricing
All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes (GST @ 18% unless otherwise specified). Per-minute consultation rates, puja prices, product prices, and subscription fees are clearly shown before you commit.
6.2 Payment methods
We accept payments via:
- Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
- Net banking
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)
- Digital wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon Pay)
- EMI options where available
All payments are processed by our payment partner Razorpay. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.
6.3 Wallet system
You can add funds to your in-app Wallet (minimum ₹100, maximum ₹50,000 per transaction). Wallet balance is used to pay for per-minute consultations. Wallet funds:
- Do not carry interest
- Are non-transferable to other accounts
- Remain valid for 1 year from date of last transaction
- Can be refunded to the original payment method within 30 days of request (subject to refund policy)
6.4 Invoices & GST
Invoices are generated automatically for all purchases and available for download from Settings → Billing. For GST input credit, add your GSTIN to your profile before making a purchase.
6.5 Failed payments
If a payment fails but your wallet is debited, the amount is automatically refunded within 5-7 business days. If you do not see a refund within 10 business days, contact support@jyotishguide.com.
07. Free 5 minutes offer
Every time you initiate a chat or call with an astrologer you have not consulted before, the first 5 minutes are completely free. Key terms:
- The free 5 minutes applies once per astrologer, per user — not once per platform
- No payment method is required to use the free 5 minutes
- At the 4-minute mark, you will be prompted to continue at the astrologer’s displayed per-minute rate
- If you do not choose to continue, the session ends automatically at 5 minutes with no charge
- If you continue, per-minute billing begins from minute 6 onwards
- We reserve the right to revoke the offer in cases of suspected abuse (e.g., multiple accounts created to exploit free minutes)
08. Subscription plans
We offer two premium subscription tiers:

8.1 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You will receive a reminder email 3 days before each renewal. To cancel, go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel anytime before your next billing date.
8.2 Cancellation
You can cancel anytime. Upon cancellation:
- You retain Gold/Diamond benefits until the end of your current billing cycle
- No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a paid cycle
- Your subscription will not renew automatically thereafter
8.3 Plan changes
You can upgrade from Gold to Diamond at any time. Pro-rated amount is charged immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
09. AstroMall purchases
9.1 Product information
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate product descriptions, images, and pricing. However, slight variations in product appearance (natural variations in Rudraksha, gemstones, etc.) are inherent to authentic spiritual products and do not constitute defects.
9.2 Certification
Gemstones above ₹5,000 come with a lab certificate. Rudraksha products are sourced from Nepal/Indonesia with authenticity verification. Certification details are provided at the product page.
9.3 Shipping
- Free shipping on orders above ₹500 within India
- Standard delivery: 4-7 business days (metro) or 7-10 business days (non-metro)
- Express delivery available at additional cost in select cities
- International shipping not currently offered
9.4 Order cancellation
You may cancel an AstroMall order for a full refund before it is shipped. Once shipped, return/refund terms from our Refund Policy apply.
9.5 Defective or damaged products
If you receive a damaged or defective product, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. Eligible products will be replaced or refunded at our discretion.
10. User conduct
When using our Services, you agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Indian laws
- Impersonate another person or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against astrologers, staff, or other users
- Share sexually explicit, obscene, hateful, or violent content through chat or calls
- Request predictions or guidance encouraging illegal activity (fraud, harm to others, etc.)
- Share copyrighted content without authorization
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack our Services
- Scrape, crawl, or data-mine our Services for commercial purposes
- Interfere with the security or integrity of our Services
- Solicit personal contact information from astrologers to bypass the platform
- Solicit or accept off-platform payments to or from astrologers
- Use the Services to promote competing products or services
11. Astrologer conduct standards
Astrologers on Jyotish Guide are independent experts operating under our strict conduct code. They are required to:
- Provide guidance based on classical Vedic principles
- Never pressure seekers into expensive remedies or services
- Maintain confidentiality of all seeker information
- Not solicit off-platform payments or contact
- Decline to make predictions that could cause harm or encourage illegal activity
- Not provide specific medical, legal, or financial prescriptions in place of qualified professionals
If an astrologer violates these standards, report it via the in-app flag or email disputes@jyotishguide.com. Verified violations may result in removal from the platform.
12. Intellectual property
12.1 Our content
All content on the Services — including the Jyotish Guide name, logo, app design, website, Kundli generation algorithms, Energy Score methodology, written content, and design elements — is owned by Jyotish Guide Technologies Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors, and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999.
12.2 License to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
12.3 Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works
- Use our trademarks or branding without written permission
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices
- Republish our blog content, daily Panchang data, or Rashifal content elsewhere
- Reverse-engineer our Kundli or Energy Score algorithms
13. User-generated content
When you post reviews, ratings, feedback, or other content on our Services (“User Content”):
13.1 Ownership & license
You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with the Services and our marketing materials.
13.2 Your warranties
You represent and warrant that your User Content:
- Is your original work or you have all necessary rights to post it
- Does not violate any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
- Is not defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise unlawful
- Does not contain viruses or malicious code
13.3 Our right to moderate
We may review, edit, or remove User Content at our discretion — particularly content that violates these Terms. We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.
14. Disclaimers
14.1 Nature of astrology
Astrology is an ancient traditional science for guidance and self-reflection. Predictions and remedies offered on Jyotish Guide are interpretations of classical Vedic principles and:
- Are probabilistic in nature, not deterministic guarantees
- Actual outcomes depend on individual free will, karma, and circumstances
- Should be considered alongside — not in place of — professional medical, legal, or financial advice
14.2 Services provided "as is"
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
14.3 Not a substitute for professional services
Jyotish Guide is not:
- A medical service — always consult qualified doctors for health concerns
- A legal service — consult licensed advocates for legal matters
- A financial advisory — consult SEBI-registered advisors for investment decisions
- A mental health service — contact qualified mental health professionals for psychological support

15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:
- Jyotish Guide, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services
- Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) ₹10,000 or (b) the total amount you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for losses or damages arising from decisions made based on astrological guidance
- We are not liable for astrologer conduct during off-platform communications initiated by users
- We are not liable for courier delays, natural disasters, or other force majeure events affecting AstroMall delivery
Nothing in this section limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence
- Fraud or wilful misconduct
- Matters that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jyotish Guide, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:
- Your breach of these Terms or our Privacy Policy
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
- Your User Content
- Your conduct during interactions with astrologers or other users
- Misuse of the Services by you
17. Suspension & termination
17.1 Termination by you
You may close your account at any time via Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account. Upon account deletion:
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Remaining wallet balance (above ₹100) can be refunded if requested within 30 days of closure
- Unused subscription periods are not refunded
17.2 Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:
- You breach these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- We are required to do so by law or court order
- We discontinue the Services (we will provide at least 30 days’ notice in such cases)
17.3 Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.
18. Dispute resolution
18.1 In-app resolution (first step)
For any concern about a consultation, puja, product, or billing:
- Raise a dispute via the in-app flag (within 24 hours for session disputes)
- Our dispute resolution team reviews the recording/details and responds within 24-72 hours
- If warranted, a refund or remedial action is issued
18.2 Grievance officer escalation
If you are not satisfied with the in-app resolution, escalate to our Grievance Officer by emailing grievance@jyotishguide.com. Response within 15 days as required by IT Rules, 2011.
18.3 Arbitration
If a dispute cannot be resolved through steps 18.1 and 18.2, it shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996:
- Sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement or by the court on application
- Seat of arbitration: Indore, Madhya Pradesh
- Language: English
- Arbitrator’s award is final and binding on both parties
18.4 Consumer Protection Act, 2019
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Consumer complaints can also be filed at the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or through the National Consumer Helpline (1915).
19. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
Subject to Section 18 (Dispute resolution), the courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matters not resolved through arbitration.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- We update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
- For material changes, we notify you via email or in-app banner at least 30 days before the changes take effect
- Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
- If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account before they take effect
Prior versions are archived and available on request from legal@jyotishguide.com.
21. Miscellaneous
21.1 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jyotish Guide regarding your use of the Services.
21.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
21.3 No waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
21.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to a successor or affiliate without restriction.
21.5 Force majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or internet/infrastructure outages.
21.6 Language
These Terms are drafted in English. Any translated versions are provided for convenience only; in case of conflict, the English version prevails.
