How your sankalpa is done.
The sankalpa is the most important part — it’s what personalizes the puja for you. Here’s a sample of exactly what the pandit says during your puja.
Most auspicious dates for each puja.
While you can book any day, these traditional windows give each puja its maximum effect. Our panchang team coordinates muhurat with the pandit.
Poornima (Full Moon)
Satyanarayan is most traditionally performed on Poornima of any month. Kartik Poornima and Vaishakh Poornima are especially potent.
Sawan Mondays
Every Monday is sacred for Rudrabhishek. The entire month of Sawan (Shravan) amplifies the ritual’s power many times over.
Saturdays & Amavasya
Best performed on Saturdays (ruled by Shani) or Amavasya (new moon) for maximum planetary pacification effect.
About Live Puja.
Quick answers to what people ask before booking. Full list at FAQ hub.
Is the puja really live — or a recording?
100% live, every time. The pandit performs your puja in real-time at a confirmed date and muhurat. You’ll see a “LIVE” badge on the stream, see viewer counts, and hear your name spoken during the sankalpa.
After the puja, the recording is saved to your account for 90 days. You can share the recording with family members who missed the live stream.
We never use pre-recorded video, AI-generated pujas, or recycled rituals. Every puja is fresh and personalized.
Can I include my whole family's names?
Yes, up to 5 names in one sankalpa for Satyanarayan and Rudrabhishek pujas. For Navgraha Shanti, only primary name (the chart analysis is planet-specific to one person).
Include:
- Spouse and children
- Parents and in-laws
- Siblings living in same household
The pandit mentions each name with their respective gotra during the ritual. If gotras differ, we handle that accurately.
What if I don't know my gotra?
No problem. You have three options:
- Ask an elder family member (parent, grandparent, uncle) — most families know their gotra
- Select “Kashyap Gotra” — this is the default accepted gotra when exact lineage is unknown, per classical tradition
- Our support team can help you determine gotra from your family lineage and surname in many cases
Not knowing gotra doesn’t prevent the puja — Kashyap Gotra substitution has been classically accepted for this exact situation for centuries.
How is the prasad delivered to me?
Prasad is couriered via Blue Dart or Delhivery within 3–5 working days after the puja to your registered address.
The prasad package includes:
- Blessed food items (panchamrit, sweets) — vacuum-packed for freshness
- Tilak and raksha (sacred thread)
- Flowers & akshata from the actual puja
- Small puja yantra or photo of the deity
All packaging is done with respect — items wrapped in clean cotton cloth inside the courier package.
What if I miss the live stream?
The sankalpa is performed at your booked time regardless of whether you’re watching — so the spiritual benefit is fully yours.
The recording is saved to your account for 90 days. Watch it at any auspicious time. Many families watch together on the weekend following the puja.
If you know in advance you’ll miss it, you can still participate mentally at the scheduled time — classical tradition emphasizes that the sankalpa connection, not physical presence, is what transfers benefit.
Can I choose a specific pandit or temple?
By default, we assign the most suitable available pandit for your selected puja. You can also:
- Request Varanasi, Haridwar, or Ujjain pandits specifically (may add 2–3 days to scheduling)
- Request temple-based performance (select temples available at no extra cost)
- Re-book the same pandit if you’ve worked with one before and liked the experience
Special requests are handled through support chat after booking.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. If the puja is cancelled from our end, or if the stream fails technically and you cannot watch the live puja, you receive a full refund.
For service concerns (pandit quality, ritual completeness), raise a dispute within 24 hours of the puja — we review the recording and offer either a replacement puja or refund within 48 hours.
