Important: Tiers never downgrade. If you take a break for 6 months and return, you resume at your earned tier. We also don’t charge for onboarding, profile creation, or certification — those are on us.
Our non-negotiable requirements.
We keep our panel small and expert. To protect the seekers who trust us and the astrologers already on our platform, every applicant must meet these criteria.
Minimum 2 years of active practice
With documentable client consultations. No fresh graduates without real-world experience.
Formal training or certification
From recognized Jyotish institutions, pathshalas, or documented guru-shishya lineage. Self-taught practice alone isn’t sufficient.
Strong classical foundation
Demonstrable knowledge of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, or equivalent classical texts for your specialization.
Clean background
No prior fraud cases, consumer complaints, or removal from other platforms. We conduct background verification during onboarding.
18+ years old with Indian bank account
Required for legal contracting, KYC, and payout processing. NRI astrologers are welcome provided you can maintain an Indian NRE/NRO account.
Stable internet + quiet space
For uninterrupted chat consultations. We test this during onboarding. No consulting from noisy, public, or poorly-lit environments.

How long does the full onboarding take?
From application submission to going live, typically 3–4 weeks:
Application review (3–5 days) → Classical test (schedule within 1 week) → Sample reading audit (2 weeks) → Background check (5–7 days) → Onboarding (3–5 days). We don’t compromise on any stage, even for well-known astrologers.
Can I set my own per-minute rate?
No. Jyotish Guide sets consistent rates across tiers. Silver: ₹6–₹8/min, Gold: ₹10–₹15/min, Gold PhD: ₹12–₹18/min, Elite: ₹15–₹20/min. This keeps pricing fair for seekers and ensures no race-to-the-bottom discounting. Your earnings grow with your tier and session volume.
Can I work on other platforms simultaneously?
Yes, we don’t require exclusivity. However, if you’re actively consulting on a competing platform, you must use separate session hours and not solicit seekers from our platform to contact you off-platform. We take off-platform solicitation seriously.
How do payouts work? When do I get paid?
Weekly payouts every Monday via direct bank transfer (UPI or NEFT). Your earnings are calculated from Sunday 11:59 PM of the previous week. Minimum payout is ₹500 (below which balance carries over). Invoices are auto-generated and GST-compliant. You can track all earnings in real-time in your astrologer dashboard.
What happens if I get a bad review or dispute?
Occasional bad reviews are normal. Disputes are reviewed impartially by our team with session recordings as evidence — not by algorithm. You get to respond before any decision. Our 3-strike policy: 3 verified negative disputes within a year triggers mandatory retraining; 5 triggers removal. We protect astrologers from frivolous complaints too.
Do you accept applicants without formal Jyotish degrees?
Yes, provided you have documented guru-shishya training or recognized pathshala education. A formal university degree is not required, but your classical knowledge must pass our panel’s examination. Self-taught practice alone is not sufficient.
Is training or ongoing support provided?
Yes. Onboarding includes platform training, seeker communication best practices, and our conduct code. After going live, you have access to our astrologer Slack community, monthly webinars with senior astrologers, and a dedicated support line for operational issues. Gold+ tiers get a personal account manager.
Can I take time off? What about sickness or holidays?
Yes. You set your own availability hours. You can go offline anytime without penalty. For extended breaks (7+ days), give us a heads-up so we can inform existing seekers. Tiers don’t drop during breaks — you resume where you left off.
